For the fifth consecutive year, our team has landed on the Snow Magazine’s Top 100 List as a nationally regarded snow and ice removal company. Announced at this year’s ASCA Executive Summit held in Hilton Head, South Carolina, we received the news on our top-performing ranking. This time, coming home with the #28 spot, we have managed to work our way up the list every single year since making our first debut. At just #33 last year, our team is more encouraged and motivated than ever before to keep climbing.

As a company that is intently dedicated to our clients, their properties, and their personal safety, we have a passion for winter weather clearing and removal. Constantly attending educational summits and courses for new accreditations that reflect our unwavering commitment, we leverage innovation and cutting-edge technology to one-up our service offerings year after year.

With 30-years of experience and expertise in our line of work, our in-depth knowledge guarantees our continued ranking. Plus, equipped with ASCA-certification and visionary leadership from Chris Marino, we are able to remediate any snow or ice condition – right here in one of the snowiest regions in the country.

That’s why, after this year’s announcements, we are already to work configuring new ways to rank even higher as a snow removal contractor at next year’s ceremony. We believe that complacency has no place in an industry as dangerous and critical as winter weather clearing. Therefore, we are already preparing for what’s ahead in the 2018-19 season.

Our team would like to thank the ASCA and Snow Magazine for considering our hard work and commitment in their selection process. We look forward to joining with the industry’s very best again next year.

Every year, a comprehensive snow and ice removal event takes place, welcoming industry elite and participants from around the country to share their best practices when it comes to tackling winter weather. Believing that collaboration is more valuable than working as independent entities, snow and ice removal leaders set aside time to network with leading thinkers and researchers in the industry.

This year’s Snow and Ice Show took place May 1 thru the 3rd in Hartford, Connecticut. As an event that unites manufacturers, suppliers, and snow and ice management professionals for two and a half days of education, networking, and trade show displays, this year’s event was focused on the principles of successful snow and ice management: managing risk, reducing insurance rates, and reducing bogus slip-and-fall claims. Speaking personally regarding de-icing strategies, equipment purchasing and management, and creating culture in your own organization, Xtreme Snow Pros founder Chris Marino and Operations Manager Glenn Kramer were in attendance.

2018 Snow and Ice Show

This year’s event featured a plethora of topics from a variety of speakers, hailing from every community around the country. Talks touched on: contract language for the snow and ice management industry, basics of snow and ice management, physical conditions to look for on a property, documentation to meet industry standards, technology for sales and customer service, overcoming plateaus in your business, structuring your snow team for success, and the list goes on.

Marino was a central figure in the proceedings, providing three different talks that were positively received by the audience.

Starting with his talk on de-icing, Marino quickly stated: de-icing is such a broad and important category that an entire conference alone could have been dedicated to it. He started off by asking business owners to reflect on their service offerings. Did they offer de-icing? Marino also imparted his expertise on equipment purchasing and management, asking the audience to describe their equipment portfolio, as well as the depth of their operations.

Always working to develop new relationships and integrate new technology and best practices that revolutionize Xtreme Snow Pros business model, Kramer and Marino attended events every day of the conference, meeting with new business owners and innovative thinkers. The Xtreme Snow Pros team is constantly working to improve upon their service offerings, which is why Marino is a central figure at snow and ice events around the country every year.

We look forward to the 2019 Snow and Ice Show!

Xtreme Snow Pros Chris Marino Speaks on 3 Different Topics at 2018 Snow and Ice Show

This year’s Snow and Ice Show has finally rolled around, taking place May 1st to the 3rd in Hartford, Connecticut. As an event that unites manufacturers, suppliers, and snow and ice management professionals for two and a half days of education, networking, and trade show displays, this year’s event was focused on the principles of successful snow and ice management: managing risk, reducing insurance rates, and reducing bogus slip-and-fall claims.

Naturally, as a leader in the snow and ice removal industry for the greater Northeastern region of the United States, Xtreme Snow Pros owner, Chris Marino, was part of the elite team of speakers and presenters offering up their experience, information, and research. Speaking on three different topics, Marino discussed de-icing strategies, equipment purchasing and management, and creating culture in your own organization.

De-Icing

As Marino quickly stated: de-icing is such a broad and important category that an entire conference alone could have been dedicated to it. He started off by asking business owners to reflect on their service offerings. Did they offer de-icing? No? If they did, how much of an impact did it make on their business once they added it to he repertoire? Next, he moved into asking the audience of their customers understood how de-icing worked, and its notable differences when compared to snow removal.

Looking at de-icing products, Marino touched on Xtreme Snow Pros approach to de-icing, as well as how they provide options to their clients. He asked the audience: how much training needs to be administered before proper application? What is the average profit margin contractors should be realizing from their de-icing services? What are contractors doing right or wrong?

Marino also made a point to touch on trendy questions related to de-icing, like the request for “organic” de-icing solutions.

Equipment Purchasing & Management

Marino imparted his expertise on equipment purchasing and management, asking the audience to describe their equipment portfolio, as well as the depth of their operations. What’s your equipment purchasing philosophy? What are your thoughts on rent and lease options for snow and ice management? Do you have a dedicated manager, and what are the costs?

Marino finished off the segment by touching on how important it is to develop relationships with local dealers and contractors for top-notch performance.

Overall, it was another incredibly productive and successful Snow and Ice Show, attracting industry elite from around the country to share their experiences and observances for a more informed snow removal industry. We look forward to participating in next years’ event.

Xtreme Snow Pros Attends “Legislative Day on the Hill” with the ASCA

As a comprehensive winter weather monitoring and clearing company, we believe that complacency is what puts a company behind the pack, failing to work towards newer, better laws and inventions that improve overall service. That’s why our team is involved in more than just our client’s properties – we are interested in legislative practices as well, which directly affect our industry and how we are able to support our patrons. Therefore, in addition to our education and physical services, our team took a trip to Washington D.C. last fall to be part of the discussions that directly affect what we do here at Xtreme Snow Pros.

Legislative Day on the Hill

Traveling with the Accredited Snow Contractors Association (ASCA), Xtreme Snow Pros Owner, Chris Marino, the Chief Visionary behind the operation, was present for discussions directly related to snow removal companies in the New Jersey region. Taking place Monday, September 11, and Tuesday, September 12, Marino was part of the people that had a direct influence on the resulting law language.

Legislative Day on the Hill is an opportunity for snow industry professionals to have their voices heard, increase their knowledge about the legislative issues that affect companies, and directly participate in the legislative process. The chief purpose of the day is to educate elected representatives on the issues that face individuals and businesses in our industry. The ASCA for years has been flying into Washington D.C. for the day, creating awareness with elected representatives on issues that the snow and ice management industry faces. Without such support, the ASCA argues that elected representatives remain wholly unaware of the industry and what they can be doing to improve it.

Senate Bill 237

The particular event was focused on the passage of the Lawsuit Abuse Reduction Act, Senate Bill 237. The bill is aimed at reducing frivolous lawsuits, passing the House this past Spring, now needing final approval in the Senate. Marino took part in the discussions surrounding the bill, advocating for its passage on behalf of winter weather companies that have to work within the stringent lawsuit conditions that are all too common when it comes to walkways and parking lots during the winter months.

After the two-days of debate, Marino returned home to Xtreme Snow Pros, sharing the information he learned and what was exchanged at the critical meeting.

Xtreme Snow Pros works hard to integrate into every facet of business life, from community involvement to local law passages and repeals. The team is focused on new advancements for 2018, and will certainly be attending the Legislative Day on the Hill for 2018.

Xtreme Snow Pros Attends The 2017 ASCA Executive Summit

We had the pleasure of attending this year’s Accredited Snow Contractors Association Executive Summit, held from August 2 to the 4th at the Grand Summit Hotel in Park City, Utah. Constantly looking for opportunities to learn more about our industry and best snow and ice management practices for clients, the ASCA Executive Summit is always a wealth of information regarding every winter weather management requirement.

PicMonkey+Image2 (1).jpg

As an annual conference that is focused on the business needs of the snow industry, the ASCA Executive Summit always brings in dynamic speakers to discuss the industry and how participants can improve their respective business operations. This year’s summit addressed the business management topics that every business faces how to better communicate with employees, increase bottom lines, and reach potential customers.

Event Sessions

This year, we had access to high-level education that focused on the economy, sales and marketing, lawsuit and protection, and culture building of the snow and ice removal industries. Sessions we attended included the U.S. Economy and How It Will Impact Small Business, which looked at present and future factors that will have an impact on how we operate in New Jersey and New York; How to Become the Wikipedia of Your Industry to Build Your Brand Business, which looked at building online trust with consumers and how this kind of branding can position a business as the go-to option; Lawsuit Protection for Both Your Personal & Business Assets, which was a hands-on presentation that focused on asset protection for business owners and key employees; and The Practical and Sustainable Way to Build a High-Performance Culture, which taught us how to create the culture we want to have at Xtreme Snow Pros.

In addition to the high-quality talks and workshops, the Executive Summit also hosted Snow Magazine’s annual Leadership Awards and Top 100 ceremony, awards of which Xtreme Snow Pros were able to take home. The awards ceremony recognized snow industry professionals for their leadership within the industry as well as within their own personal organization.

Like every ASCA event, our team was met with an abundance of new information that our executive team is already integrating into our structure. They plan to adopt new management practices and refined equipment for expediting all of our processes this winter.
